I have been working the past few nights, which has kind of put a different spin on my world. crazily enough, I have also worked on three different floors over the three nights I have been here. sunday night I worked on rehab, monday on surgical, and tonight I am in intermediate care...which really freaked me out because I have never worked here before, and I have know idea how the flow of everything goes. lucky for me, I have been working with some really great and helpful nurses, so it hasn't been too terribly bad.
in other news, I got "fired" from my job at the apartment complex. I'm still not exactly sure why, because the excuse they gave was pretty lame and unprofessional (in my opinion, which is not at all humble). I was pretty upset for awhile because I felt like they were trying to (knowingly or not) back me into paying the full price of rent, which had gone up about $70/mo when I resigned my contract. one of the biggest pulls for me staying where I am was the fact that I was going to get a rent credit for working. frustrating. I explained all of this to the owner, who said that he could understand where I was coming from, but even the amount of rent I am technically paying (before any work) is lower than the market value of the apartment. he told me that he would let me out my contract if I wanted...and the only reason for that is because he knows that he could rent it out for the full market value price in no time flat...
...okay, maybe I'm still a little upset about it...
rory's birthday was last thursday. we didn't really celebrate, mainly because what would we do? but I did make her a crown that had her name on it and took a bunch of pictures. I am pretty pathetic.
school starts in just over a month. I am so excited...although I will probably wish for more vacation two weeks after it starts.
my mom has a conference in utah the week before school starts, so I am going to go down with her and chill for a week. it will be nice to get away from here and the drama for a little while.
spencer and amber are having a little girl. they are both really excited.
that's it. I have officially run out of things to talk about. I must lead a pretty boring life.

i would love to see those pictures of birthday princess rory! I bet your apartment manager picks his nose and eats his boogers and doesn't have any friends. I'm rooting for you Laska!
What on earth could you have possibley done to warrant getting fired?? Sounds like some sort of something nasty goin on. Jerk.
