christmas was pretty low key this year. I went to moses lake a little after finals to have a christmas party with my family, where we celebrated my cousins birthday, watched a football game, and traded secret santa gifts. my mom got super sick that night, and stayed home from work all week, so I got to pretend to play nurse for her. she was so sick that on monday she surprised me with an early christmas gift - a trip to the dentist (because she couldn't make it). since I got kicked off of my parent's insurance, I haven't been to the dentist. so on tuesday I went and finally got my teeth cleaned. then, thinking that she wouldn't get to do any last minute shopping, I decided to brave the stores and bought the food for christmas lunch, and some stocking gifts for my parents. wednesday my mom did get out, and so back to the crazy stores we went (well, really just walmart - but where else do you go shopping in moses lake?). christmas day was spent opening our stalkings and gifts. spencer, amber and adyson came over just before christopher's last call home. we got to talk to him for about an hour, then my dad and I went around to some of the families in his ward and dropped off boxes of keebler christmas cookies (the one's he couldn't have in the store anymore). when we got back, dee and his family came, spencer and his family left to go to another party, and we had lunch. the rest of the evening we just chilled.
moses lake got a ton of snow this year, and on monday I decided to go back to richland and try and get some stuff done here. I rang in the new year with david and tiffany at their new apartment. we played games, ate, and chatted all night. it was really fun.
as for the rest of the break, I am just here in richland, still trying to get some stuff done. if the weather is good my parents and I are going to go to vancouver (wa) next weekend and then school starts monday the 12th.
this is a picture of christopher and his companion. it was really great to get to talk to him! he comes home on march 6th!
