it's like a balloon, with s's

I haven't played since winter semester of 2002. but every now and then I wonder what my life would be like if I had stuck with music, and I was still playing. I wonder if I would have eventually gotten into the music ed program...and if I would now be a music teacher somewhere. yeah...probably not. but I still love to hear the sound of my instrument. and someday, if I have the extra money, I think I'd like to buy one and start playing again.

this final video is actually of a girl I knew at byu freshman year (practiced with, made reeds with...). I searched bassoon on you tube and found this. she is amazing. apparently she teaches at georgia state university. wow. I'm feeling really small and insignificant right now.

p.s. if you read this before saturday - look at the date of this post...hehe

Laska,
Andrew enjoyed watching Peter and the Wolf on your blog. I totally understand feeling a little low sometimes when I hear about others who totally made it in there career. It's all good though because I just figure it wasn't what the Lord intended for me. Even if it might be kind of hard to see. You should totally buy a bassoon though when you get a chance and keep up the wonderful talent. Thanks for offering to watch Andrew for us. We really appreciate it. How did that happen about the date of the post?

I didn't know you played the bassoon! You just keep getting more awesome! I played the trumpet and french hore in high school. I echo your desires to go back and pick it up again.
