poster project

for one of my classes we had to do what was called the population project. it was actually for my community health clinical, but our community health theory teacher grades part of it. whatever. anyway, for the project we had to pick a population and do research on current research to determine something. I'm actually still not sure exactly why we had to do that part, but we did it. so then we had to pick "key informants" - people who were in the population and also who worked with the population - that we were going to interview to determine the needs of the population. after the interviews we compiled the data and determined some of their needs. then we had to create a policy that addressed one specific need, how we would implement the policy, and what the role of the community health nurse would be in all of it. after all of that, we had to create and present a poster in yakima, with the other groups down there (they [spokane] didn't want to have three different sites or something).

my group chose the population "families of children with cancer." I made a deal with my group that if I made the poster I would not have to present. my group members think they got the better end of the deal. and even though I had three long days and two nearly sleepless nights, I still think I came out ahead. I've attached two pictures for your viewing pleasure. :) and because we are giving the poster to the tri-cities cancer center. it's sad that I've become attached to the thing...because honestly, what am I going to do with it?? put it up on my wall forever?

I thought that I just had to upload the picture so you could click on the picture to make it bigger so you could see the detail or read about the results of our research, but for some reason it won't work with these pictures (but it will with others I have on blogger). If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know...I appreciate it.

thanks mom for coming down with the cricut cartridge and for cutting out the girl!

I've had the same problem with the pictures on my blogger lately too...unfortunately I haven't had the time to devote to fixing it. So if you figure it out let me know. :)

I love the poster. It definitely reflects your population. I feel like I just presented my poster a day or two ago. You really are so close to being done, Laska!
