day four brought more of the same - the top of the deck. it's a lot more work than either of the boys realized, and they are getting sick of bending over to put in the deck screws.
after a certain unknown length of time, the boys decided to split up - one kept working on the deck, while the other started digging holes for the fence posts.
you can't tell from this picture, but the hole is incredibly deep - about 2 feet down.
and then he poured cement into the holes. as of the end of the day he had five posts cemented into place.
