christopher came in one day and showed me his eye. it looked like he had a sliver of wood in it. after some debate, he finally convinced me to try and see if it would come out by just touching it. I gave him a couple of eye drops, put on a glove, and then took it out. turns out, it was just a goober of something, and not a sliver. this is him after the process was over.

the weather was crazy on saturday. not only was it windy, but then it started to hail. it was crazy!

so this is how I found my yard this morning. the wind is just ridiculous!

the wind is also starting to make a mess of the perfectly stacked fence posts. I keep looking outside every few minutes to make sure they don't fly away.

the almost finished deck. I think that michael still has one corner on the top he his trying to finish. it's causing him some problems...

and this is the fence so far. compared to the part the boys are putting up, the fence around the rest of my yard looks old and dingy. at least in this picture. there isn't quite as much of a difference if you were to see it in person.

and today (monday, day eight) the boys started their real jobs. they are working for the wal-mart corporation (sorry...I'm quoting a show) so they won't be over here until around 3 pm. apparently wal-mart bought the old k-mart building in ml and they are going to be using it as a warehouse for storage for the area stores (ml, ephrata and othello), and the boys will be doing something in the new warehouse. they are not really excited about the job. and every day they tell me how they would rather do what they're doing for me full time, so they could quit the other job. but no can do. however, my neighbor has asked them to do the rest of his fence, and his wife is trying to convince him to have the boys build them a deck as well.
